Deploying a Java Web Application to Tomcat

In this article, we will show you how to deploy your Java web project to our cloud platform.

Precondition：

• An FTP client like FileZilla client has been installed on your local PC;

• A Java web project on your local PC;

1. Export your Java web project to a WAR file

You can use your own Java IDE tool to export a WAR file.

2. Transfer the WAR file to the Cloud Clusters platform

Please refer to Transferring Data via FTPS to upload your WAR file to the Cloud Clusters platform.

Note: The target directory for uploads should be /cloudclusters/tomcat/webapps. you need not restart the Tomcat because its "autoDeploy" configuration item is true.

3. Test your Java web application in a browser

• Find the default domain name on the Site & SSL page.

• Check if your Java web project works in a browser. The test URL is the default domain name plus your WAR file name.
